Figure 8 formed in the fall of 2011 when Scooter Abraham and Jake Thompson joined forces in Boise, Idaho. The duo recorded their first few songs in Abraham's bedroom, developing their sound and learning the ropes of DIY punk rock.
In fall 2013, Thompson left the band to pursue other paths, but Figure 8 continued on, evolving their lineup and sound while keeping the raw, energetic spirit alive.
The band blends classic punk rock energy with ska punk influences and whatever else they feel like playing. No rules, just loud.
